Veronica's Closet star Kirstie Alley has found her perfect partner, a man she met more than 500 years ago! |

| KIRSTIE
ALLEY is having the time of her life - sexually. At 43, the Veronica's
Closet star is poised to marry her sexual soulmate, James Wilder,
who's 13 years younger than her. "James
is wonderful because he's great at learning what I like in bed," says
Kirstie, who lives with James in a stunning Italian villa-style love nest
in the Hollywood Hills. "He's a lot younger than me, but he likes it when
I'm in charge. My perfect day is one packed with love-making and
chocolate and James can help deliver both." But
her new-found freedom has come at a whopping price. Kirstie, who
found fame and fortune in Cheers and the Look Who's Talking
movie series, last week shelled out a staggering $10.4 million in cash
and property to former husband Parker Stevenson in a bitter divorce settlement.
Her real-life situation mirrors that of her Veronica's Closet character,
whose estranged husband is trying to take her to the cleaners.
Kirstie believes the heartache has been worth it, though, as the twice -married and divorced mother of two adopted children - William True, five and Lillie Price, three - knows she's finally found her cerebral and sexual twin. "I have always wanted a mate who was on a similar wavelength, who had a similar goal," she says. "I've never met anybody who is more like me than James. He's a cross between Houdini, Errol Flynn and Marlon Brando. He does wild things, like he eats fire," says the sultry star. "He's this free spirit. He's right on the edge. He looks like a bad boy and in a way he is. We're very much in love. A lot of things brought us together. It was like comet to comet - boom!" Love with James, whom she met on the set of the movie Nevada after her split from Parker, has cost her dearly. Under the terms of the divorce, which effectively more than halves her $19 million fortune, Kirstie was heartbroken when forced to hand over the $4.8 million family home to the ex-Hardy Boys actor, her husband of 13 years. |
The
historic 12-bedroom former inn, on a private island off the coast of
Maine, was once a haven for Kirstie, who also surrendered
to Parker $4 million in cash, a $1.6 million farm with its own baseball
field, sailing boats, cars, furniture,
golf carts and a horse named Macho in the hush-hush divorce pact.
She managed to keep a $2.4 million horse ranch in Oregon, a condominium
in Kansas, cars and a lobster boat. The
way Kirstie tells it, James, a former Melrose Place actor, is worth
every cent. "James is amazing," she says. "He's got more
energy than anyone I've ever met and he's game for anything. He's
just magical. I feel I've found my other half, like we came from the
same cell which has split into him and me. If this doesn't work,
then I'm probably not meant to be with anybody."
And yet, the devout Scientologist is adamant she and James were already married - half a millennium ago! "I'm so in love with James because he reminds me of my ex-husband Francesco from 500 years ago," she insists. "I wouldn't be with James now if I didn't know he was my loving husband in a past life." A strong believer in past lives, the rejuvenated star is convinced James won her love by killing an embittered Stevenson in a 15th century duel. "I remember they fought with swords in the early morning in a square near our home in Venice," says Kirstie, whose film career is once again on the boil with roles in Woody Alien's "Deconstructing Harry, and For Richer Or Poorer with Tim Alien. "When I met James for the first time, there were some obvious, amazing connections. I just said, 'Excuse me, but you and I were married in a past life.' He said, 'I know. I can feel it.' Then he joked, 'So, how have you been for the past 500 years?' "We laughed like schoolkids, and we've been together ever since," she says. With Veronica's Closet one of the smash hit comedies in America, Kirstie's immediate future is glowing, and when she walks down the aisle with James, there's a good reason for her to hope this time it's for keeps. "I can't stand the thought of another marital failure," Kirstie says with a roll of her eyes. |
